Fashion Marketing and Client Relations Internship - Remote

Job Description

The role will involve outreach to industry professionals, suppliers, and manufacturers to get them to sign up on our platform, Fashion Index as well as helping with our email drip campaigns. This role will involve working sessions with founder Marge Pietrera. The candidate will gain hands-on experience in running a startup web platform. You will draw on your existing skill sets while we help you fine-tune your skills and grow in your interest field. This is an unpaid position. This unpaid Internship provides credit for current university students following your university's guidelines.

This is an unpaid internship. Fashion Index is fully aware of and in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and all Department of Labor regulations. Only current students at the time of the internship are eligible for this internship.

Check with your school's Internship Coordinator BEFORE accepting the hiring offer to determine if this position satisfies the criteria for receiving academic credit. To be eligible for this internship position, you must be enrolled in, planning to enroll, or accepted for enrollment in an academic internship course or experience recognition program through your college or university that will run concurrently with this internship opportunity.

Qualifications: Working towards a Fashion, Marketing, Business, and/or Merchandising degree. Candidates with other relevant majors will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Expand existing database of contacts.
  • Make connections with individuals in potential 'lister' companies.
  • Follow-up with individuals and companies as potential users/listers.
  • Analyze contact database to efficiently and effectively disseminate relevant information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Canva and Google Workspace
  • Knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X/Twitter Content
  • Pay: Unpaid, for College/Academic Credit. This requires a concurrent internship class.
  • Job Duration: About 15 weeks.
  • Schedule: Minimum of three days/week, flexible. At least 10 hours/week meeting the requirements of your college/university and Fashion Index.
  • Work Location: 100% remote.
  • Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication.
    • Ability to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations in Corporate Outreach, PR, Marketing, etc.
    • Highly organized.
    • Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
    • Outgoing, positive, honest, loyal, and dependable.
    • Must be good at asking questions and taking notes.
    • Strong follow-thru.
    • Must be able to take initiative on projects and work independently.
  • Education: In college majoring in Fashion, Marketing, or Merchandising.
