ABOUT THE ROLE

This role involves outreach to industry professionals, suppliers, and manufacturers to grow Fashion Index's platform, as well as supporting email drip campaigns. You'll work in sessions directly with founder Marge Pietrera and gain hands-on experience running a startup web platform.

You will draw on your existing skill sets while we help you fine-tune your abilities and grow in your interest field.

Unpaid, Academic Credit Only. Fashion Index is in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. Check with your school's Internship Coordinator before accepting to confirm academic credit eligibility. You must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in an academic internship course running concurrently with this opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Expand existing database of contacts.

Make connections with individuals in potential supplier companies.

Follow-up with individuals and companies as potential users and suppliers.

Analyze contact database to efficiently and effectively disseminate relevant information.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Proficient in Canva and Google Workspace

Knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X/Twitter content

Strong written and verbal communication

Ability to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations in Corporate Outreach, PR, Marketing, etc.

Highly organized with strong follow-through

Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Outgoing, positive, honest, loyal, and dependable

Ability to take initiative on projects and work independently

Education: Currently enrolled in college majoring in Fashion, Marketing, or Merchandising. Candidates with other relevant majors will be considered.
