ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our development team and help build the future of fashion sourcing technology. This role involves full-stack web development, platform optimization, and feature implementation for Fashion Index's B2B platform. You'll work with modern technologies and gain hands-on experience scaling a fashion-tech startup.

Qualifications: Working towards a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related technology degree. Candidates with demonstrated programming experience will be considered.

Unpaid, Academic Credit Only. Fashion Index is in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. Check with your school's Internship Coordinator before accepting to confirm academic credit eligibility. You must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in an academic internship course running concurrently with this opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain web applications using modern frameworks

Implement new features and functionality for the Fashion Index platform

Optimize website performance and user experience

Collaborate on database design and management

Conduct testing and debugging of applications

Assist with API development and integration

Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3

Experience with React.js, Node.js, or similar frameworks

Knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL)

Familiarity with version control (Git)

Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking

Understanding of responsive web design principles

Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud)

Familiarity with agile development methodologies

Strong attention to detail and code quality

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Continuous learning mindset for new technologies

Education: In college majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related field.
