Full Stack Developer Internship - Remote

Job Description

Join our development team and help build the future of fashion sourcing technology. This role involves full-stack web development, platform optimization, and feature implementation for Fashion Index's innovative B2B platform. You'll work with modern technologies and gain hands-on experience in scaling a fashion-tech startup.

This is an unpaid internship. Fashion Index is fully aware of and in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and all Department of Labor regulations. Only current students at the time of the internship are eligible for this internship.

To be eligible for this internship position, you must be enrolled in, planning to enroll, or accepted for enrollment in an academic internship course or experience recognition program through your college or university that will run concurrently with this internship opportunity.

Qualifications: Working towards a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related technology degree. Candidates with demonstrated programming experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using modern frameworks
• Implement new features and functionality for the Fashion Index platform
• Optimize website performance and user experience
• Collaborate on database design and management
• Conduct testing and debugging of applications
• Assist with API development and integration
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Experience with React.js, Node.js, or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL)
• Familiarity with version control (Git)
• Pay: Unpaid, for College/Academic Credit. This requires a concurrent internship class.
• Job Duration: About 15 weeks.
• Schedule: Minimum of three days/week, flexible. At least 10 hours/week meeting the requirements of your college/university and Fashion Index.
• Work Location: 100% remote.

• Education: In college majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related field.
